The increasing cost of living and dwindling income has put pressure on funding for schools. As the need for effective educational programs and technical resources continue to increase in schools, there is a need to have better ways of funding these programs. Much of the resources that fund schools come from the government as parents contribution supplement them. However, with the need for structured and particularized learning and teaching resources, the funding from the two sources cannot suffice to provide the necessary technical resources as well as support educational programs. This paper examines the causes of increased need for school funding in terms of technical resources and educational programs.

Needs Analysis for Funding Schools

One of the causes of the present need to provide funds for schools is the fact that technical resources and education programs have escalated in prices. Schools can come up with strategies to use resources such as computers and other equipment to be used in teaching students in any class. However, these resources are costly and the current financial income for schools cannot allow them to acquire the technical resources as much as they would want to implement technical learning. Furthermore, teachers and instructors also need to be trained to use the resources given that technology is dynamic and implementing it properly will depend on the knowledge that an educator has. On the other hand, implementation of particular education programs set to improve the students performance in schools is largely dependent on the availability of human resources and the prerequisite tools to deploy them. The other challenge that faces funding of schools is the existence of various competing needs in schools. Learner Characteristics

Most of the students in contemporary schools have an interaction with technology before they join the schools. As such, the kind of technical resources and education programs that are brought on board must address the precise needs of students. This means that the resources and programs that are deployed need to be of high standards to avoid introducing learners to tools that they already know about. However, some students might be novice learners using technical resources as well as specific programs. This fact should also not be lost to the implementers.

Learners also range from pre-school to high school. This means that the technical resources and education programs that are suggested by the administration and sponsors must cater for the needs of students in various classes. However, this challenge may just be experienced within the beginning of the implementation as subsequent years will make use of the already available resources and education programs. Furthermore, instructors will have to acquire better skills to ensure that students learn exactly what they are supposed and expected to learn.

Objectives of the Project for Funding Schools

The purpose of this project analysis is to come up with ways of addressing the challenge of funding for schools especially in terms of technical resources and education programs. These plans are essential at a time when education standards in schools are wanting. The government and other stakeholders need to identify and analyze the challenges that schools that require technical resources and specific education programs face. It should then come up with well defined strategies to ensure that bright and skilled students who join schools at various levels are given a chance to complete their education without disruptions. It is useless to sponsor students from primary schools and allow them to drop out of school half way because they could not raise the remaining amount to cater for their needs while at the university. Parents also need to discover the importance of saving money towards funding their childrens education as early as when the child enters primary school. This will enable them to supplement whatever sponsorship their children are going to get from the sponsors. In the same manner, adults who are working must be encouraged to pay for their education so that they do not overburden the government for funding of their education (Adams & Ginsberg, 2010).

The need to have technical resources and specific education programs in schools is a welcome idea especially at a time when there is demand for technical skills for students. Some schools have resorted to private means to enable them to source for funds so that to purchase the required technical resources and also provide re-training programs for teachers. However, such funding sources are still subjected to auditing as well as scrutiny by their respective donors. It means that schools must develop their own source of income to acquire technical resources and implement education programs.
